      Huang Xiaowei Research and development in RE hydrometallurgy, RE separation & extraction and RE materials

      Mrs. Huang Xiaowei,graduated from Central South University in 1983 and obtained Ph.D. Degree in Metallurgy Engineering from Northeastern University in 2008, is a Professorate Senior Engineer. She is awarded with Government Special Allowance of State Council, obtained the first “National Outstanding Engineer Award” and the title of “National Excellent Scientific and Technical Worker” in 2014 and was awarded with the title of “National Labor Model” in 2015. She currently holds the position of Director of RE Metallurgical Materials and Application Technology Research Institute of GRINM, Vice Director of National Engineering Research Center for Rare Earth Materials of GRINM (CREM) .

      Prof. Huang has been engaged in R&D on RE hydrometallurgy, RE separation & extraction and RE materials for many years when she undertook more than 10 projects including National High-tech R&D Program of China (863 Program), National Program on Key Basic Research Project (973 Program), National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Key Technology Support Programs, achieved many innovative fruits with independent Intellectual Property in High efficiency, clean RE resource extraction, green separation and purification and RE composite materials, which were applied in several dozens of RE enterprises and significantly improved the development and utilization of domestic RE resource. Prof. Huang applied for more than 120 invention patents, of which 97 were granted(including 17 overseas patents); obtained 1 second prize for National Invention Award(rank 1st), 1 second prize and 1 third prize for National Prize for Progress in Science respectively(rank 2nd), 3 National Excellent Patent Awards, more than 10 provincial and ministerial awards; published more than 150 papers, 3 publications as co-author and delivered more than 20 invited presentations in domestic and overseas academic conferences.

      Prof. Huang is also the Director of Commission of RE Chemistry & Hydrometallurgy in China Rare Earth Society, the expert in “12th Five-Year Plan” National Science and Technology Focus (RE materials) Expert Group, member of National Advanced Material Industry Development Strategy Advisory Committee, standing editor of Journal of the Chinese Society of Rare Earths/Journal of Rare Earths and editor of Rare Earth.

      Mr. He Jinjiang, He is currently the deputy general manager of GRIKIN. graduated from Tsinghua University with Ph.D. in Material Science and Engineering in 2006. Dr. He was awarded Beijing outstanding young talents, Beijing outstanding young engineer. He received from China Science Association Qiushi Outstanding Youth Award for transforming achievements in 2015. Dr. He has been engaged in the R&D of high purity thin-film materials which was applied to electronic information industry. He was the leader in about twenty national R&D projects. With an in-deep study of microstructure control, join and machining of high purity metal, alloy and compound, he used his technical achievements in semiconductor, flat displaying and solar field. The target products were awarded the innovative products and technology prize of CSIA for three years. Dr. He applied for about 30 patents and about 20 patents were authorized. He complied 7 national or industry standards, and was awarded 3 ministerial prizes (1 first prize, 1 second and 1 third prize), published 21 academic papers.
